Toukiden: Kiwami Review I Hey Poor Player

Added: 09.04.2015 22:17 | 53 views | 0 comments

Hey Poor Player's Francis DiPersio writes - "The Monster Hunter series may have been a mainstay on the Playstation Portable, but the series original fanbase has been left in the cold since Capcoms beloved beast-busting series has moved onto the bountiful hunting grounds of Nintendos flagship platforms. While recent releases like Ragnarok Odyssey, Soul Sacrifice and Freedom Wars have looked to deliver a similar experience on the Playstation Vita, theyve been met with largely mixed results, unable to eclipse the towering shadow of their inspiration."

Review: Toukiden: Kiwami (New Gamer Nation)

Added: 09.04.2015 0:17 | 7 views | 0 comments

New Gamer Nation writes: "The act of taking down a gargantuan behemoth is an experience that although thrilling and enjoyable is one that is to be had more and more often in recent times, especially after the boom of the of Monster Hunter series and the influx of the similar type games that pit you and some teammates against massive foes. Coming out of Tecmo Koei and Omega Force, whom are most famously known for the Dynasty Warriors series, Toukiden: Kiwami is a revamped version of the games predecessor Toukiden: Age of Demons that came exclusively to the PS Vita previously. Adding in new demons to slay, weapons to wield, story content to play and abilities to use, Kiwami delivers much more than the first game had to offer. Despite the bland, static environments and repetitive nature of the missions, taking down Toukidens big game is great and the amount of party members and equipment at your disposal makes achieving it even better."

Added: 08.04.2015 4:17 | 13 views | 0 comments

Metro: One of the PS Vitas best Monster Hunter clones brings its co-op gameplay to the PS4, along with a sizeable visual and content update. If youre going to release a game called Toukiden: Kiwami in the UK we assume youre already resigned to appealing only to a niche audience. Especially when the headline feature is that its the best Monster Hunter clone on the PlayStation 4. None of that screams mainstream success in the West, but nevertheless this is one of the of the best home console remasters of recent months.
